If you would like to explore the best of Rwanda wildlife, a Game Drive at Akagera National Park is the best way to do it. It is the only place in Rwanda to see the majestic impala, topi and the only easily accessible place to see the big five.

You can decide to either opt for a morning to catch up with morning hunters and grazers, afternoon, evening or night game drive so as to be able to spot some of the nocturnal within the park.

There is a two-tier guiding system in the park with 10 park-employed guides and 15 community freelance guides. As a park visitor, and subject to availability, you may choose to take a park-employed guide who has guiding experience ranging from 2 to 12 years in Akagera National Park, and has undertaken training in content, interpretive guiding and first aid in the past 2 years.

You can decide to use the company safari guide who is well knowledgeable with the game trucks, but it is more ideal to take a park ranger guide along, who are better acquitted with the park knowledge.
