Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport.
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will brief you about your 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla and Lake Kivu and then transfers you to the booked accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay are at the hotel.

Day 2: Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial & Transfer to Musanze: Travel time +2 hrs
Today after taking your early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honours the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors of the incident. Later you will proceed with a drive to Musanze through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation to catch up with a late lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the next day’s trekking. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Have an early breakfast and then get briefed by the park officials about the rules of visiting the park. Thereafter enter the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their exploring their homes. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as hiking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and a hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or a whole day, depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda, you will have an incredibly memorable experience for life. In the afternoon you are free to relax or visit the city.

Day 4: Transfer to Gisenyi: Travel time +2hrs
After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Gisenyi, with an en-route visit to Roze car house, learn about the beautifully hard work of this amazing woman. Catch up with lunch at your lodge. The afternoon is again leisure and enough time to relax. In the evening, head for the fishermen’s experience, and learn about how the local community carry out their fishing. 7

Day 5: City tour of Rubavu & Relaxation
In the morning after breakfast, you will head to Kimbiri for a coffee plantation and tour experience. On your way back, you will head for the city tour of Rubavu including the visiting the Atelier de Poupee, a community artwork project, run by a group of women, who majority are widows, making some fine artwork, like handbags, wallets, dolls and more. You can get one for yourself at a friendly price. Later back to the hotel there is time for relaxation and alter on dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Airport Transfer
