City tour Stone town – visit the old city and the cultural heart of Zanzibar with a local tour guide, discover the small streets, nice famous doors, the markets and old buildings from centuries ago. Visit nice gifts shops where you can find plenty of souvenirs and the traditional African jewelry. It is also possible to rent a private car or to enjoy Stone town on a rented motorbike.
Prison / Turtle Island – the real name, Changu Island, was once used for the place where slaves were kept.
Before they were sold on Zanzibar’s slave markets. Now it’s a beautiful island, where you can discover the old prison and the most famous inhabitants, the giant turtles, who originate from the Seychelles. A small fisher boat brings you to the island to visit the turtle zoo and information center.
Spice tour – clover, cinnamon, pepper and many other spices can be seen in the different plantations outside Stone town. You will receive information about the spices from a special spice guide. They are organically grown and they are traditionally used in cosmetics, medicine and cooking. You have the chance to taste and smell the spices and fruits while on this tour.
Kizimkazi dolphin trip – you like to swim and to snorkel with a group of dolphins ? A small traditional fisher boat brings you to an area near the coast, where you have the chance to see them in their natural habitat.
Bicycle trip / blue lagoon – discover the blue lagoon at Zanzibar’s East coast. We provide you a bike to ride along the beach up to the lagoon. There you will be picked up by a local boat to swim and to snorkel inside the lagoon.
Jozani Forest – the first and only national park in Zanzibar is a groundwater forest, in dry times a coral rag forest. Discover over 100 tree species and their famous residents, the red colobus monkeys, or enjoy a guided tour on the boardwalk through the mangrove forest.
