This 8-day Epic Rwanda Safari Adventure will give you a great memory of the Rwandan tour and you explore and wrap up Rwandan attractions in just 8 days. You will be able to visit all the 2 Rwandan parks thus Nyungwe National Park and Volcanoes National Park, adding in a visit to Lake Kivu to spice up your stay. You will also be able to interact with the local community as you go about your daily activities. Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a Thousand Hills that Rwanda is known for, a later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park, travel time +5 hours
Early morning enjoy your buffet breakfast, checkout at the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern Province, this will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of Kingship with an en route lunch. Upon arrival at Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon, you will have time to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings at your leisure. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Today, after your early morning cap of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour of finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters-suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a lucky day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Rubavu with en route coffee tour and Boat trip
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before embarking on a scenic journey to the picturesque Gisenyi area by the shores of Lake Kivu. As you travel, immerse yourself in the stunning countryside views and the breathtaking lake landscapes and expansive lake views. Along the way, stop in Kibuye for an enchanting boat trip, where you’ll explore several of the lake’s beautiful islands. Continue onward to Kinunu for an insightful guided coffee tour, learning about the coffee production process from bean to cup. Conclude the day with a transfer to your hotel, where you will enjoy a delightful dinner and a restful overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Musanze for Buhanga Eco Park and boat trip to Twin Lakes
Start your day by catching the beautiful sunrise over Lake Kivu after enjoying a hearty breakfast. Depart for Musanze, a journey of approximately 1.5 hours. Musanze is a popular tourism area near Volcanoes National Park, with various lodges located just outside the park. Upon arrival, visit the serene Buhanga Eco Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and cultural significance. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat trip on the twin lakes, offering stunning views of the chain of volcanoes. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Visit
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters. After the briefing of the Office of Tourism. You will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla tracking experience takes half or a whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, ready for a village foot safari to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance at Iby’ Iwacu Cultural Center. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Golden monkey & Transfer to Kigali, travel time +2 hrs
Today, after enjoying a warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off your day golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though not so hectic as gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Kigali, if time permits, do a Kigali city tour with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground and Kimironko local market for shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Kigali walking tour and Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour through Nyamirambo, one of Kigali’s oldest neighborhoods, giving you a glimpse of local life. The tour concludes with lunch in a local home. Later, you will be transferred to the airport to catch up with your onward flight.
