This 2-Day Gorilla and golden monkey Trekking Safari in Rwanda takes you to Volcanoes National Park, driving through the unwinding hills in rural areas into the home of endangered mountain gorillas. Your safari begins from Kigali’s urban settings up to the beautiful village of Musanze. From Musanze, you will access Volcanoes National Park, a well-known habitat for various primate species you may encounter during your trekking. Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park for Golden Monkey trek
Early morning at 4:30am, you will be picked by your driver guide from your accommodation in Kigali, you will set off for a drive of 2,5 hours to the Office of Tourism, where you’ll receive a briefing on the code of conduct for observing the golden monkeys. Enjoy an unforgettable day watching and photographing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch, and spend the remaining of the day at relaxation.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Transfer to Kigali
On Day 2, after your early morning breakfast, at 7:30 am, you and your packed lunch will be transported to the park’s headquarters. At the Office of Tourism in Kinigi, you will be briefed by the ranger about the rules and regulations of Mountain Gorilla tracking before you head off to the jungle in search of these gentle giants. The gorilla trek can last from an hour to six hours depending on the gorilla’s movements. The trek is strenuous at times but incredibly rewarding. You will be given an hour with the gorillas to take as many pictures as possible. Once you have returned from your trek, head for lunch in one of the local restaurants before hitting the road to find your way back to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the Kigali airport to catch your evening flight.
