This 11 days Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi Safari Adventure offers an extraordinary opportunity to experience the very best of East Africa’s natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage. You will track mountain gorillas in the renowned Volcanoes or Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, an unforgettable encounter with one of the world’s rarest primates. Continue to Kibale Forest, for chimpanzee trekking, followed by a scenic exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rich biodiversity, tree-climbing lions, and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise. The adventure extends to Jinja, the historical source of the Nile River. Concluding in Burundi, you’ll uncover its charming traditions, scenic highlands, and warm hospitality.
Day 1: Pickup from the airport
Your 11 day Uganda Rwanda Burundi Safari Adventure starts upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. You will be picked up from the airport by our company representative, who will brief you shortly before you are transferred to the hotel in Kampala for your overnight. Request a Quote

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja for White water rafting. Travel time +2hrs
After an early breakfast, meet your driver-guide at 6:30 a.m. and drive to Jinja, about 1½ hours from Kampala, to reach the spectacular Bujagali Falls. Receive a safety briefing before beginning your rafting adventure covering 5–31 kilometers over 5–6 hours. Along the way, enjoy views of local fishermen at work and observe the area’s vibrant birdlife. Choose between a wild or mild experience, either paddle your own raft through some of the world’s most thrilling rapids or relax as professional guides row you safely downstream. After a hearty buffet lunch, drive back to Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer Kampala to Kibale NP. Travel Time +5hrs
Today, you will be picked by your driver guide after getting done with the morning breakfast at 7:00 am and you will drive to Kibale NP. Kibale National Park is one of the most visited park, known as the home to chimpanzee which is the most attraction to this park beside nature walk and bird watching. The Park harbors over 1250 chimpanzee and also is known as the primate capital of the world with over 13 primates including the baboons, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkey, Bush babies, black and white colobus, grey checked mangabeys, and much more. You will later check in at your hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetlands
Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast before going chimpanzee tracking to get up close to these human relatives. Kibale is known as home of chimps having over 1250 chimpanzee and over 13 primates making it the primate capital of the World. You will be briefed before getting lost in the forest and you will have great opportunities to have both ground and up sittings. The trekking can last for 2 to 6 hours depending on the chimp movements. You will later return for lunch before heading to visit the Bigodi Wetlands; home to multiple primate species, mammals, over 200 bird species, many reptiles and a large variety of endemic flora and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer Kibale to Queen Elizabeth NP. Travel Time +3hrs
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Check in at your accommodation facility as you wait for your lunch. After lunch, take on an afternoon safari game drive to see some of the animals such as the elephants, waterbucks, bush bucks, buffaloes and much more. Return for dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drives to see more animals that habit this park, that include predators’ lion. Leopard and other game. Over 500 bird species have been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird-watchers. They include the black bee-eater, 11 different species of kingfisher and several falcons, eagles and other raptors. Queen Elizabeth National is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda. After lunch take a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. This waterway joins Lakes Edward and George and it is filled with schools of hippos, buffaloes with elephants at the banks. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

Day 7: Transfer Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Travel time +3hrs
Rise very early with your packed lunch take on a morning game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You will most likely meet grazing Hippos, Elephants, and Lions, spotted Hyenas, bush buck, water buck, stripped jackal, comical warthogs and the elusive leopard at Ishasha. You will drive along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grasses and acacia. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The journey takes about 4 hours but driving through interesting features. Arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. This park is home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Kigali
Today, tick off gorilla tracking from your bucket list! With gorilla permits included, a guide and porters who will carry your shoulder pack, set off to the thick forest in search of gorillas after being briefed with your packed lunch and bottles or mineral water. The terrain can be difficult, with steep slopes covered in dense vegetation that gives the park its name. In addition, the altitude of 5200 feet and more means participants do need to be reasonably fit. The time taken to track the gorillas will vary enormously to gorilla and group movements, from as little as half an hour to as much as 6-7 hours before one returns to lodge for dinner and overnight. You will return for lunch and afternoon be transferred to Kigali.

Day 9: Kigali – Burundi
After breakfast, head for Kigali City tour by visiting Kigali genocide mmeorail centre and other suburb of the town. Afternoon you will head to the airport to board your flight to Bujumbura. Upn Arrival in Bujumbura you will be picked up by your drievr guide who will transfer you to the hotel for the diner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Source of the Nile, Karera Waterfalls & Burundi Drummers Experience
After an early breakfast at 7:00 a.m., set out on an exciting day exploring Burundi’s cultural and natural treasures. Begin your journey with a visit to the Source of the Nile, one of Africa’s most iconic geographical landmarks, where you can admire the point from which the world’s longest river begins its course. Continue your drive to the breathtaking Karera Waterfalls, a spectacular cascade surrounded by lush greenery, perfect for photography and nature appreciation. In the afternoon, proceed to Gitega, the country’s cultural heart, to visit the Burundi National Museum, home to fascinating historical and ethnographic exhibits. Conclude the day with an uplifting drumming performance at Gishora Hill, where the world-famous Burundi Drummers deliver an electrifying display of rhythm and tradition.

Day 3: Bujumbura City Tour & Flight to Kigali
After breakfast, embark on a city and nature exploration of Bujumbura. Begin with a boat trip on the Rusizi River within Rusizi National Park, where you’ll observe hippos, crocodiles, and an impressive variety of birdlife up close. You’ll also have the chance to see the famous Albert’s Crocodiles, a highlight for wildlife enthusiasts. Return to the city for lunch, then enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Bujumbura before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.
