Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Travel time +2hrs

Today you will be picked at your hotel or upon your arrival at Kigali airport with your morning flight, head for a city tour to visit the local market and Kigali genocide memorial centre before being transferred to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park where you will your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking  experience 

Following the briefing, you’ll venture into the forest with your packed lunch to begin the search for the shy mountain gorillas. Once you locate them, you’ll have the rare opportunity to spend up to one hour observing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, watching their social interactions and taking photographs. Gorilla trekking requires a reasonable level of fitness, along with essentials such as sturdy walking shoes, packed food, drinking water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. The experience can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will transfer back to Kigali for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer From Kigali, Rwanda to Tanzania

After enjoying a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Tanzania, where your safari adventure continues. Upon arrival in the afternoon at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your booked lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer Arusha to Lake Manyara for game drive 

At 08:30 hrs, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting day of game drives and wildlife viewing. This picturesque park boasts a variety of habitats, including acacia woodlands, rocky escarpments, and grassy floodplains, all contributing to its stunning scenery and rich atmosphere. Lake Manyara is an important corridor for the great migration of large herds of mammals and is renowned for its unique population of tree-climbing lions, often seen lounging in the narrow belt of acacia woodland. During your game drives, you may also encounter herds of elephants and graceful giraffes feeding on acacia branches, hippos basking in water pools, and lively troops of baboons grooming or playfully interacting. You will enjoy lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. After an authentic and rewarding wildlife experience, you will be transferred to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Manyara to Serengeti Ntional park

Today, you will drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to take in the breathtaking scenery, followed by a visit to a traditional Maasai Boma for an enriching cultural experience. The Maasai, a semi-nomadic tribe living in close proximity to wildlife, offer a fascinating glimpse into a unique way of life. After this cultural encounter, you will continue your journey with a stop at the Serengeti Naabi Hill Gate for lunch and a short rest. From there, you will proceed with en route game drives in Serengeti National Park, leading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day in  Serengeti National Park.

Enjoy a full day of game drives and wildlife viewing across the vast Serengeti plains, with packed lunch boxes to be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site within the wilderness. It is world-renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration, an awe-inspiring natural spectacle, and is one of the best destinations for spotting big cats in their natural habitat. As you explore, expect to encounter large herds of elephants, groups of giraffes browsing on acacia trees, prides of lions stalking their prey, or hyenas scavenging from a recent kill. Your game drives may also reveal cheetahs, topis, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, warthogs, jackals, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, and many other species ranging from small to large mammals. After an exciting day immersed in the wonders of the Serengeti, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater for game drives

Early morning  game  viewing  in  the  endless  plains  of  the  Serengeti,  followed  by Breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a transfer to the Ngorongoro crater. Upon arrival, you will descend approximately 2,000 feet (600 meters) to the crater floor for exploration. Your game drive will take you through diverse landscapes, lush forests inhabited by monkeys and elephants, lake areas where you may spot flamingos, and open savannah where lions roam in search of prey. Along the way, you’ll encounter an abundance of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and—if lucky—the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the crater. You will drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Airport departure 

In the morning, after a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) for your departure flight or to continue your journey to Zanzibar for a relaxing beach holiday. End of the 7 Days Rwanda Tanzania Magical Safari.
