Day 1: Airport Transfer to hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and transfer you to the booked accommodation at Hotel des Mille Collines (Mid- range hotel) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Standard hotel). Day 2: Visit Kigali genocide memorial & transfer to Bwindi: Travel time +5 hrs
Today after taking your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors’ of the incident. Later you will proceed with a drive to Bwindi through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation to catch up with the late lunch and later spend the rest of the afternoon relax and prepare for the next day’s trekking.Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake Resort lodge (Mid – range lodge) or Rushaga Gorilla Camp Lodge (Standard lodge). Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience & transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. Travel time +4hrs
After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. This will be followed by entering the forest for trekking; the experience is magical and quite challenging, as you move from one trail to another throw the thickets in search for these primates. Quite a number of bird species and other primates plus wildlife can be spotted along the way. After trekking, you return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon at your leisure. Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel time +5hrs
Early morning relaxed breakfast, checkout of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth through the beautiful unwinding drive along the way. You will later check in at Safari lodge for your dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge (Mid-range lodge) or Twin Lakes Safari lodge (Standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 5: Game drive & Boat Cruise.
After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am, you will head in search for the morning hunters and grazers such as the buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, lions and variety of bird species that you will encounter on your game ride and later return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to view the water dwelling birds and animals such as the pied king fisher, African fish eagle, herons, darters to mention but a few and see animals such as buffalos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants wallowing at the mad and much more. After boat cruise, you will proceed for a short game drive as you find you way back to lodge for dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge (Mid-range lodge) or Twin Lakes Safari lodge (Standard lodge). Day 6: Return to Kigali. Travel time +6hrs
Today after having a relaxed morning breakfast, with a beautiful view of the channel, you checkout of the lodge and drive back to Kigali via Kitagata hot springs to view the beautiful hot springs’ back to Kigali with an en route lunch at a convenient restaurant along the way as you wrap up your 7 days tour with us.
