Augusta 119 Helicopter with a carrying capacity of 380 kg, 6 seater.

Augusta 109 Helicopter with a carrying capacity of 380 kg, 6 seater.

The flights are all chartered, there is no scheduled time, meaning you will have to book in advance.

Kigali Helicopter Scenic Tour

Depart from Kigali International Airport with helicopter and have a 30 minute’s flight around the areas of Bugesera, River Nyabarongo, with a beautiful tour over Kigali city and back to landing at Kigali International Airport.

Volcanoes National Park Helicopter Scenic Tour

Depart from Kigali International Airport with helicopter and have a 2 hour’s flight to Volcanoes National Park, have a great view of the Virunga volcanoes, fly over the Twin Lakes, distant view of the Congo side and stretch up to Lake Kivu before you return with a beautiful tour over Kigali city and back to landing at Kigali International Airport.

Nyungwe National Park Helicopter Scenic Tour

Depart from Kigali International Airport with helicopter and have a 2 hour’s 30 minute’s flight to Nyungwe National Park, have a great view of the Nyungwe forest, view of the Congo side, and stretch up to Lake Kivu before you return with a beautiful tour over Kigali city and back to landing at Kigali International Airport.

Akagera National Park Helicopter Scenic Tour

Depart from Kigali International Airport with helicopter and have a 2 hour’s flight to Akagera National Park, have a great view of the Lake Ihema, wildlife, rivers and back to landing at Kigali International Airport.

Depending on your numbers/ budget, you can opt for one of the helicopter’s, and enjoy the beautiful scenic flight around Rwanda. The packages comes with different price depending on the destination you’re visiting and type of the helicopter you’re using.

The price of the package is charged as a whole, due to the fact that the helicopter is a chartered one.

Rwanda Helicopter Transfers

Those not intending to do the scenic helicopter tours, can as well still have the helicopter transfer to different parks around Rwanda. The Rwanda helicopter transfers help the clients to skip the hectic road transfers and opt for the quick helicopter transfer’s.

There is helicopter transfers to Volcanoes National Park, to Akagera National Park and Nyungwe National Park, departing from Kigali International Airport. You can however, still be picked up from the above mentioned park and transferred back to Kigali.

There are scheduled transfer time, for the above mentioned transfers, with fixed rates per person, however you can still request for a charter transfer that suits your travel time.

Flight to Nyungwe National Park.

In addition to the helicopter transfers, RwandAir do operate daily flights to Ruzizi which is close to Nyungwe National Park. The flight connects Kigali airport and Kamembe airport, which are the two Rwanda airports. There are morning and afternoon flights connecting the two airports.

For the clients who would like to avoid the 5 hour’s drive to and fro Nyungwe National Park, can opt for this option and have a quick transfer across. However, a road connection from the airport to the hotel/ lodge, should be taken note off.
