One&Only Nyungwe House is inside Nyungwe National Park, surrounded by tall trees, birds, and animals. From Kigali, the drive takes about 5 hours and 40 minutes. On the way, you can stop at Butare’s Ethnographic Museum or visit the Bugesera area. Also, the house is near chimpanzee trekking trails, canopy walks, and birdwatching spots, so you can start your activities early. You can also visit nearby villages to see local life and markets.

One&Only Nyungwe House has large, comfortable rooms. Each room has a private terrace, big windows, and a bathroom made from local wood and stone. You can enjoy forest views from your room or terrace. Inside, the design is simple and elegant, with local baskets and wooden furniture. Families or groups can use rooms connected to shared living areas. Meanwhile, the terraces and lounges give quiet spaces to read, rest, or watch the forest.

The house offers many services for a good stay. You can eat meals and drink beverages made in-house from fresh local food. Also, there are wellness services, such as African ritual massages, forest treatments, and yoga by the pool. During your stay at One&Only Nyungwe House, your driver/guide can take you on forest walks, birdwatching trips, and educational tours. The house has Wi-Fi, laundry service, and lounge areas with views of the forest. For trekking, driver/guides give backpacks, gloves, and gaiters, so you can focus on the walk. Important Information about One&Only Nyungwe House
Check-in starts at 2:00 pm, and check-out is at 11:00 am. The house is open all year. Additionally, chimpanzee trekking starts at 7:00 am. Children aged ten and older can stay, but only people aged fifteen and above can trek. Also, you should stay at least two nights to enjoy the park.
