Suspended on a metallic bridge above a deep and narrow gorge in the middle of dense tropical rain forests, the canopy walkway which is raised 70 meters high above the forest ground and 160 meters long is a very easy and exciting guided tourist activity in Nyungwe National Park that provides great views of tree tops and Wildlife encounters within the park.

How do you get to Nyungwe National Park?

Nyungwe National Park is located in the far end of Rwanda’s southern province with an estimated road distance of 218 kilometers from Kigali. There are several means of getting to the park and the easiest means is by road transport which usually take 5 to 6 hours to reach the park, however the quickest means are using helicopter flights to Nyungwe National Park, there are scheduled helicopter transfers from Kigali International Airport to Nyungwe operated by Akagera Aviation and these usually take only 45 minutes. There are also scheduled domestic flights from Kigali to Kamembe operated by RwandAir and then you use road transfer from Kamembe to Nyungwe National Park which is just an hour’s drive.
