5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari

This 5-day safari offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Kenya’s diverse natural beauty and the thrill of big game viewing. Highlights include staying in a unique Tree Lodge, observing wildlife from a raised bunker, crossing the Equator, doing game drives around Lake Nakuru, and witnessing the majestic Big Five in the Maasai Mara.

Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on a morning flight, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred in a 4x4 safari jeep going to Aberdare National Park. There you will see the lush central Kenya highlands and picturesque landscapes. After checking in at your Tree Lodge, located deep within Aberdare National Park, lunch will follow. At night, you will enjoy game viewing from the comfort of a specially raised platform and experience game viewing from the comfort of a specially raised bunker as you watch animals visit the lodge’s floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Dinner and an overnight stay are included at your lodge.

Day 2: Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, check out and meet your driver/guide for a scenic drive southwest across the Equator, descending into the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive at 16:00 hours to explore the alkaline Lake Nakuru, home to numerous bird species and a variety of wildlife including buffaloes, white rhinos, waterbucks, lions, leopards, and the Rothschild giraffe. Dinner and overnight stay are included at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast will be served starting at 06:30 hours. After checking out by 07:30 hours, drive to the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge followed by lunch. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive at 16:00 hours, marking the beginning of your unforgettable Maasai Mara wildlife adventure. Dinner and overnight stay are included at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 4: Maasai Mara

Experience the excitement of early morning and late afternoon game drives, seeking out the Big Five, lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, and leopard, along with other animals such as impalas, gazelles, wildebeests, hyenas, topis, zebras, giraffes, and numerous bird species. The Maasai Mara is the northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti, which hosts the annual Wildebeest Migration in July and October. During this time, millions of wildebeests and zebras, closely followed by big cats, cross the Mara River and traverse the plains in search of greener pastures. The rest of the day is at leisure at your lodge. All meals and overnight stay are included at your lodge.

Day 5: Departure

Enjoy breakfast from 06:30 hours. After checking out by 07:30 hours, you will travel back to Nairobi. An optional lunch can be arranged at a restaurant before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward evening flight.
