Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Your day begins with an early breakfast. By 8:30 am, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala, Entebbe, or another location. We will embark on a journey filled with lasting memories as we make our way to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will have the chance to interact with locals at market centers, where you can purchase fresh produce such as oranges, mangoes, pineapples, maize, and yellow bananas.

Our first stop is in Luwero District, where you can opt for a rhino trekking experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a must-do activity that brings you up close to these magnificent creatures grazing in their natural habitat. Afterward, we will continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will hike to the top of the falls, where you can take in the stunning scenery, feel the powerful wind, and capture unforgettable moments with photos. After the hike, we will head to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls Game Drive

Start your day early with a choice between breakfast at the lodge or after the game drive. We will then set out on a remarkable game drive through the park, where you will have the chance to see the iconic Big Five: leopards, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and buffaloes. You will also spot other wildlife, including zebras, Uganda kobs, antelopes, warthogs, baboons, and monkeys.

After an exhilarating 4-hour game drive, we will return to the lodge for breakfast or lunch, depending on the timing. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to the landing site for a boat cruise. This relaxing cruise on the Nile offers stunning views of animals such as hippos, shoebills, elephants, and buffaloes along the riverbanks. Depending on your preference, you may hike to the top of the falls after the boat cruise for a more adventurous experience. Afterward, return to the lodge to unwind before dinner.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking – Budongo Forest

After an early breakfast, we will pack a lunch and set out for Budongo Forest, where you will report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) offices. Here, you will be grouped and assigned a chimpanzee ranger, who will guide you through the forest during your trek. The trek may last 5 to 6 hours, with up to an hour spent observing the chimpanzees if permitted by your ranger. After the trek, you’ll return to the starting point, where your driver/guide will be waiting to take you back to the lodge. Relax and prepare for the next day’s journey back to Kampala.

Day 4: Travel Back to Kampala

Enjoy an early breakfast before starting your journey back to Kampala. We will take a short game drive as we head to the ferry crossing. Lunch will be provided en route, either in Masindi or Luwero, depending on the time. Once we arrive in Kampala, you can decide whether you would like to be dropped off at the airport, or your hotel, or enjoy a city tour if time permits.
