Overview

This is the safari that checks every box. Start in Rwanda with a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park, cross into Uganda for a second gorilla encounter in the ancient Bwindi Forest, then fly south to Tanzania for classic Big Five game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

Across 10 days you will experience three of East Africa’s most iconic destinations, two gorilla treks, and the full spectrum of African wildlife, from mountain gorillas to lions on the open savannah.

This itinerary is fully customizable. We can extend any portion, upgrade accommodation, or add Zanzibar at the end for a beach finale.

Itinerary Summary

Days 1-3, Rwanda: Kigali and Volcanoes National Park Arrive Kigali. Transfer to Musanze. Gorilla trek in Volcanoes NP with a habituated family. Optional Golden Monkey trek (add-on). Cultural village visit.

Days 4-5, Uganda: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Drive or fly from Rwanda to Uganda. Second gorilla trek in Bwindi, a very different ecosystem and gorilla group experience. Batwa cultural trail.

Days 6-8, Tanzania: Serengeti National Park Fly to Kilimanjaro or Arusha. Transfer to Serengeti. Three days of Big Five game drives. Staying in luxury tented camps in the heart of the park for immersive wildlife proximity.

Days 9-10, Tanzania: Ngorongoro Crater Half-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, 25,000 animals in a single extinct volcanic caldera. The world’s densest concentration of wildlife. Drive to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for international departure.
