The Bishop’s House sits in Musanze, a short drive from the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. The surrounding area is green and peaceful, with quiet villages nearby, yet town services remain close at hand. It is an easy, scenic place to relax both before and after a gorilla trek.

The property has seven Deluxe Rooms, a Junior Suite, a Suite, and an Executive Suite, each elegantly furnished with a mix of colonial and modern decor. Every room includes a private bathroom, high-quality bedding, and generous space, and the Executive Suite adds extra living areas for more privacy. Guests can also book the entire house for exclusive use, which suits couples seeking romance as well as families and small groups wanting a private retreat.

The Bishop’s House runs on an all-inclusive basis. Guests enjoy three daily meals, house wines, local beers, selected spirits, soft drinks, and laundry service, along with well-kept gardens, a cozy lounge, and attentive staff.

Good to Know

Children under 3 stay free. Children aged 4 to 12 pay 50% of the adult sharing rate, and children in their own room pay 75% of the adult rate. Festive supplements apply during Easter and the Christmas and New Year periods. Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am.
