ORTPN resthouse also referred to as Gisakura guest house is a budget facility located in the southwestern side of Rwanda close to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Blessed with a really high canopy and it is also the largest montane forest in the whole of East and Central Africa.
ORTPN resthouse Gisakura guest house offers basic accommodation to travelers that are not willing to spend a lot but still wish to enjoy the beauty of the place and the nature that surrounds the lodge.
Each block of rooms are made from brick, wood and tiles and offer little more than a bed and some shelving. The traditional home-cooked food is uncomplicated and, depending on the duration of your stay, may get a little repetitive.
ORTPN resthouse Gisakura guest house has 12 rooms basic rooms built in a simple way using local materials and with shared bathrooms. The rooms are built with bricks, timber/ wood and the floors have tiles to look a bit modern. Though the rooms are basic, you will spend limited time in the rooms because of the surroundings.
There is a lot of flora and some primates that is monkeys frequent the place. Old giant mahoganies, tall ebonies and giant fern orchids beautify the lodge surroundings. The guest house is secure and there is very minimal risk of encounters with wild animals.
ORTPN resthouse Gisakura guesthouse is extremely simple and basic accommodation offering cheap accommodation rates but providing good services.
Customers may opt to pay full board service so that all you meals are included on the hotel rate provide. Important to note that drinks have to be paid separately.
Gisakura offers opportunities to visit chimpanzees, the canopy walkway, bird watching, and hikes along different trails.
