Overview
This 5 Days Nyungwe Forest National Park Safari will give you a great opportunity to visit one of the highly visited national parks in Rwanda, as you visit and explore the beautiful attractions of Nyungwe Forest National Park, and its surrounding attractions such as tea plantations and Lake Kivu. This will be a wonderful moment as you tour around the countryside, meeting the local people as well, not forgetting a visit to the southern museum in the province.
Day 1: Transfer from the airport to the Hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a Thousand Hills that Rwanda is known for, and later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park, travel time +5 hours
Early morning enjoy your buffet breakfast and checkout at the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern Province, this will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of Kingship with an enroute lunch. You will arrive in the afternoon at Nyungwe National Park and spend the afternoon at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Today, after your early morning cup of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour of finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters-suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a lucky day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Water Fall Hike and Tea Plantation Visit
After breakfast, you will proceed to the park for a briefing before embarking on a hike to the waterfall. Along the trail, you will have the opportunity to discover various tree species and enjoy birdwatching until you reach the waterfall located inside the jungle of Nyungwe NP. Feel free to take as many photos as you like. Afterward, return for lunch, and in the afternoon, visit the Gisakura tea plantation. Here, you will explore the lush tea gardens, learn about the tea production process from planting to harvesting and processing, and capture stunning photos. Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer Kigali Via Kibuye
After a relaxed morning breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Kivu, to catch up with the beautiful sunrise over Lake Kivu after just getting done with your morning breakfast. You will take a boat ride to explore the beautiful attractions within this great lake. You have a nature walk at one of the islands within this lake which is known for harboring thousands of bats. This lake is also known as a birding paradise as it hosts a number of bird species like the cormorant, pied kingfishers, weaver birds, and herons to mention but a few. You will later return and drive off to Kigali, and later be transferred to the airport to catch up with your onward flight.
