Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel

Your Rwanda Eco Company safari represenative meets you at Jomo Kenyatta Internatioal Airport upon arrival on an evening flight. Transfer to your city hotel for check in. Dinner on own account. Overnight stay at the hotel Park Inn by Radisson (Mid – range) or Ibis Styles Nairobi (Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast basis. This will mark the start of your 15 Days Wildlife and Primate Safari.

Day 2: Nairobi / Masai Mara National Reserve

After your breakfast at the hotel, introduction to your safari driver, pre safari briefing and board your safari converted van and depart for Masai Mara. This will be a scenic drive via the Great Rift Valley and Kenyan highlands. Arrival and check in at your lodge / tented camp in time for lunch. You will then enjoy an afternoon game drive.Overnight stay and dinner at the lodge at Mara Sopa Lodge(mid-range) Or Enkorok Mara Camp(budget).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner

Day 3 and Day 4 – Masai Mara

You will spend two full days exploring and discovering the vast Mara reserve, enjoying game drives as you search for the resident Big Cats, antelopes and bird species. Be on the lookout for Lions, Cheetahs, Buffalos, Zebras, Spotted Hyenas, Masai Girrafes, Elands, Gazelles, Hippos, and Leopard, Black Rhinos and several other animals and birds that reside here. The Mara, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa is home to the Big Five as well as other predators, scavengers, plains game and prolific birdlife. This is also the place where the wildlife spectacle referred to as the annual wildebeest migration takes place every year between July and October when over 1.2 Million Wildebeest and Zebras cross over from Serengeti in search of greener pastures. Day 5: Masai Mara / Lake Naivasha National Park

Breakfast at your lodge / camp. Check out by 0800 hrs and drive to Lake Naivasha. Lunch at your resort. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the scenic views and cool breeze on the lake shores. You can also book a scenic boat ride that gives you a chance to get up close with Hippos and other wildlife found here, or a guided walk at Crescent island and pay locally. Day 6: Lake Naivasha / Lake Nakuru National Park

Have breakfast, and later drive to Lake Nakuru. You enjoy a brief stopover as you drive down the floor of the Rift Valley. Check in and lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drives in the park. The main attractions here are Rhinos, Rothschild’s Giraffes and the seasonal lesser Flamingos although other mammal and bird species reside here. Day 7: Lake Nakuru / Kampala Travel time + 14hrs

Early morning breakfast at your lodge. Check out of rooms and depart for Busia border. En route lunch in Kisumu city on own account. Drop off at Busia border by 1500 hrs. You will be warmly welcomed to Uganda by our guide who will be waiting for you at the Busia boarder to transfer to Kampala, for dinner and overnight to your booked accommodation, with a brief city life encounter as you drive to your hotel at Fairway Hotel (mid-range)Or Forest Cottages (budget).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner

Day 8: Kampala – Murchison Falls. Travel time +5hrs

In the morning, after having your delightful breakfast at 0700 hrs, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National park, one of Uganda most visited National park, which will give you an opportunity to sight the Big 5 with en route stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for an on foot Rhino tracking experience. You will then proceed to enter the park and you will be welcome by the sighting of some wildlife along the way, as you head to your lodge. Day 9: Game drive and Boat cruise at Murchison Falls NP

Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee ready for an early morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Lunch will be served in the course of the day. In the afternoon you make a boat trip along the Nile River, towards the Murchison Falls. Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, apes and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts you go to the bottom of the 43 meters high and famous Murchison Falls, which approaches you with a thunderous sound as narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Day 10: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park. Travel time +6hrs

In the morning, you will set off a relaxed drive through the verdant countryside to Kibale Forest NP with en route stops for sightseeing including the distant views of the rift valley escarpment. You will reach Kibale Forest NP in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing at the lodge as you await overnight and dinner at the lodge at Turaco Tree Top (mid-range)Or Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (budget).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen. Travel time +5hrs

Today, have your early morning breakfast, and later you will set off to the park headquarters for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for Lunch and after lunch, proceed toQueen Elizabeth NP one of the most visited Ugandan savannah park located in the western region of the country. Queen Elizabeth has a stunning view of the Kazinga channel, colored with plenty of wildlife seen at a distance, that has made boat trip in this park wonderful and one of its kind, patched with number of hippos. Day 12: Morning Game drive and afternoon launch cruise

In the morning, you will go for an early morning game drive to the Kasenyi area for more game viewing anticipating seeing a variety of wildlife species including the big cats and several antelope species. You will later return to the lodge for a late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, gather at the Kazinga channel for a launch trip that will reward you with sights of hippos and crocodiles among other animals. Overnight and dinner at Park View Safari lodge (Midrange lodge) or Kazinga Wilderness Camp (standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13: Transfer to Bwindi National Park. Travel time +6hrs

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will visit the fishing village at Kazinga, before you set off a spectacular drive to Bwindi national park located in the southern part of the country, and known for harboring half of the world remain mountain gorillas, as well as a birding paradise. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Broadbill forest Camp(standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 0800hrs with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge(Midrange lodge) or Broadbill forest Camp(standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15: Bwindi –Kigali Travel Time +4hrs

Have morning breakfast, before you jump on to your jeep, to return to Kigali, then airport, with lunch en route and stop over at Kigali, before heading to visit the Kigali genocide memorial ground, where over 250000 victim of the Kigali genocide were laid to rest, as a decent burial their souls. You will later visit Kimironko local market for some shopping before being your transferred to Kigali airport to catch up with your late evening flight back home, exchange hugs, and say bye bye to the land of the a 1000 hills, till we meet again, and look forward for your recommendation to families and friends. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
