Day 1. Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kampala. Travel time 1.30 hrs
Upon arrival, you will be picked from the airport by our driver guide and transfer you to Kampala to your booked hotel accommodation, with a stunning view of the city, later check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Fairway Hotel (mid-range hotel) or Forest Coattges (Standard lodge). Meal Plan: Dinner
Day 2. Depart to Jinja (Full day White Water Rafting on the Nile). Travel time +2 hrs.
After early breakfast at 5am, you will be picked by driver guide from your hotel at 5:30 am and head to Jinja. From Kampala it’s about 1 ½ hours to the spectacular Bujagalifalls, head straight for briefing. After being briefed about rafting. Rafting starts for 5 – 31kms – 5/6 hours rafting and you will have the chance to watch the local fishermen and the fantastic bird life. Alternatively choose to go for wild or mild. Here you choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft.
After a buffet lunch you will hit a series of more wild rapids, thereafter an evening BBQ before return to your booked hotel for diner and overnight. Accommodation at Le Petite Village (Midrange lodge) or Fareway Hotel (standard hotel). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
In the morning, after having your delightful breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National park, one of Uganda most visited National park, which will give you an opportunity to sight the Big 5 with en route stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for an on foot Rhino tracking experience. You will then proceed to enter the park and you will be welcome by the sighting of some wildlife along the way. You will spend the evening relaxing at your lodge. Day 4: Boat cruise and afternoon game drive.
In the morning, after a delightful light breakfast, you will go for a brief early morning game drive as you head towards the Nile, and later head for a boat cruise with Wild Frontiers up to the Nile delta and enjoy ride on the boat as well as having good wildlife sights of hippos and crocodiles. You will hike up to the top of the fall. The hike can last from 45 minutes to an hour, which is very rewarding at the end. You will later be picked up by your driver guide and proceed to the northern sector for game drives with your picnic lunch. Return in the evening to your lodge. Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park& afternoon Bigodi nature walk. Travel time + 7hrs
In the morning, you will set off a relaxed drive through the verdant countryside to Kibale Forest NP with en route stops for sightseeing including the distant views of the rift valley escarpment. You will reach Kibale Forest NP, in the late afternoon and in the afternoon; go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primate and bird viewing, the walk can take roughly 2 hours, to explore the hidden treasure of this swamp, with great chance to see a number of bird species and monkeys. Later drive to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Tulaco Tree Top (mid-range lodge) or Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (Standard lodge). Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. Travel time +3hrs
In the morning, you will set off to the park headquarters for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon Drive to Queen Elizabeth with the beautiful view of the crater lakes. Dinner and Overnight at Park View Safari Lodge (Mid-range lodge) or Twin Lakes Safari lodge (Standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 7: Game drive & boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth NP
Have early morning delightful breakfast, head for morning game drive in search for a number of wildlife. You will later return for lunch and in the afternoon, head for a lovely boat cruise at Kazinga channel, colored with plenty of wildlife seen at a distance, you will be able to sight a number of birds as well. Later in the evening, drive to Ishasha sector of Queen with a lovely en route drive, if time permits, try to search for the tree climbing lions, as you color up your evening. Overnight and dinner at Ishasha Jungle lodge (Mid- range lodge) or Ishasha Tree Climbing Lion Safari lodge (Standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 8:Game drive and transfer to Bwindi. Travel time +5hrs
In the morning, you will go for an early morning game drive at Ishasha in search for the tree climbing lions and during game viewing anticipating seeing a variety of wildlife species including the big cats and several antelope species. You will later return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Bwindi with a panoramic view. Overnight and dinner at Mutanda Lake Resort lodge (Mid – range lodge) or Rushaga Gorilla Camp Lodge (Standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking Experience.Travel time +6hrs
Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. The gorilla trekking is always referred to as a life time moment, as it leaves with a great experience of meeting the gorillas face to face in the jungle. You will be given an hour upon finding the gorillas to take a great moment with them as you watching the juveniles swing from one tree branch to another. You will return for lunch at the lodge, for lunch. In the afternoon, you will spend the evening at your leisure. Day 10: Transfer to Volcanoes NP. Travel time +4hrs
In the morning after relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive across the Cyanika border to Rwanda and proceed to Volcanoes NP, with a thrilling local canoe boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi, to explore this amazing lake with numerous islands, and known as a birding paradise. Day 11: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience
In the morning, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed to track golden monkeys. The trekking procedure is just like the one for the gorillas, however the golden monkey trek is not as strenuous as it is for the gorillas. You will later return to lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, spend a free time relaxing at your leisure. Day 12: Transfer to Kigali. Travel time +2.30hrs
After having a relaxed morning breakfast, you will drive to Kigali, with a beautiful view of the country side, rolling hills, and have stop overs for photography. Catch up with lunch and spend the afternoon at your leisure. You can decide to take a short tour around or spend the afternoon relaxing. Day 13:Kigali City tour
In the morning, you will be picked from the hotel and go for a city tour to the genocide memorial, where over 250000 bodies of the victim of the Rwandan genocide of 1994, were buried in a mass grave yard. There are lots of video clips to watch that gives you the real picture of the happening at the moment of the massacre. Later, you will proceed to the local markets, so as to get the real picture of Rwandan trades, good and the people, how they run their business and what they sale. You will as well visit some art galleries to do some shopping around, for souvenir’s and art pieces of your interest. Overnight and dinner at Hotel des Mille Collines (Mid- range hotel) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 14: Airport Transfer
