Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kampala. Travel time 1.30 hrs

12 Days Uganda Rwanda Gorilla SafariUpon arrival, you will be picked from the airport by our driver guide and transfer you to Kampala for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Le Petite Village (Midrange lodge) or Fareway Hotel (standard hotel). Meal Plan: Dinner

Day 2: Depart to Jinja (Full day White Water Rafting on the Nile). Travel time +2 hrs

After early breakfast at 5am, you will be picked by driver guide from your hotel at 5:30 am and head to Jinja. From Kampala it’s about 1 ½ hours to the spectacular BujagaliFalls, head straight for briefing. After being briefed about rafting. Rafting starts for 5 – 31kms – 5/6 hours rafting and you will have the chance to watch the local fishermen and the fantastic birdlife. Alternatively choose to go for wild or mild. Here you choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft.

After a buffet lunch you will hit a series of more wild rapids, thereafter an evening BBQ before return to your booked hotel for diner and overnight. Accommodation at Le Petite Village (Midrange lodge) or Fareway Hotel (standard hotel). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. Travel time +7hrs

In the morning, after relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP for afternoon game drives in the park anticipating seeing a variety of Wildlife species. You will later drive to your lodge with an en route lunch along the way. Queen Elizabeth has a stunning view of the Kazinga channel, colored with plenty of wildlife seen at a distance, that has made boat trip in this park wonderful and one of its kind, patched with number of hippos. Evening leisure at the lodge as you relax by the pool side. Overnight and dinner at Park View Safari lodge (Midrange lodge) or Baboon Safari lodge (standard lodge). Day 4: Morning Game drive and afternoon launch cruise

In the morning, you will go for an early morning game drive to the Kasenyi area for more game viewing anticipating seeing a variety of wildlife species including the big cats and several antelope species. You will later return to the lodge for a late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, gather at the Kazinga channel for a launch trip that will reward you with sights of hippos and crocodiles among other animals. Day 5: Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi national park.Travel time +6hrs

In the morning, you will set off a spectacular drive to Bwindi national park via Ishasha sector where you will have game drive in search of tree climbing lions. You will proceed to Bwindi NP for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Rushaga Gorilla Camp (standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Gorilla tracking and afternoon community walk.

Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. The gorilla trekking is always referred to as a life time moment, as it leaves with a great experience of meeting the gorillas face to face in the jungle. You will be given an hour upon finding the gorillas to take a great moment with them as you watching the juveniles swing from one tree branch to another. You will return for lunch at the lodge, for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a community walk to the neighboring village for a cultural experience, to get the cultural insight for the local community. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Rushaga Gorilla Camp (standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes NP. Travel time +2hrs

In the morning, have your breakfast, check out of the lodge, head for a canoe ride at lake Bunyonyi, which is one of the most spectaculars lake in Uganda with a great stunning view of numerous islands which makes it a birding destination, harboring a number of bird species. The boat ride on a local canoe will give you a great cultural experience as you ride by a local, you will return and drive across the Cyanika border to Rwanda and proceed to Volcanoes NP. Overnight and dinner at Le Bamboo Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Classic lodge (standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8: Golden Monkey trek and afternoon relaxation. Travel time +1.3hrs

In the morning, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed to track golden monkeys. The trekking procedure is just like the one for the gorillas, however the golden monkey trek is not as strenuous as it is for the gorillas. On return, you will have early lunch at noon and transfer to Gisenyi for an afternoon relaxation at your lodge, as you overlook the beautiful lake Kivu, you may take a self-walk around to enjoy the fresh sea breathe. Overnight at Le Paradise Kivu lodge (Midrange lodge) or Paradise Malahide (standard lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 9:Transfer to Nyungwe National Park. Travel time + 4hrs

Early morning enjoy your breakfast and head for a boat ride in Lake Kivu to explore this amazing lake, which will give you a beautiful relaxed moment, and later take a nature walk to one of the islands. You will later return and drive off to Nyungwe, with a beautiful view of the banana gardens along the way.  You will reach in the afternoon at Nyungwe national park and spend the afternoon at your leisure.Overnight and dinner at Emeraude Kivu Resort (Midrange lodge) or Gisakura Visitor Center (Budget lodge). Day 10: Chimpanzee tracking & canopy

Today, after your early morning cap of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 90 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a luck day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay at Emeraude Kivu Resort (Midrange lodge) or Gisakura Visitor Center (Budget lodge). Day 11: Transfer to Kigali. Travel time + 5hrs

After your relaxed morning breakfast, you will then check out and drive to Kigali, on your way visit the tea plantations, to know about tea farming, Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province, this will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of Kingship with an enroute lunch. You will reach Kigali in the afternoon and check in at your booked accommodation at Hotel des Milles Collines (Midrange hotel) or Quiet Haven hotel (Standard hotel). Day 12: Kigali City tour, and Departure.

In the morning, you will check out of the hotel and head for a city tour to the genocide memorial, where over 250000 bodies of the victim of the Rwandan genocide of 1994, were buried in a mass grave yard. There are lots of video clips to watch that gives you the real picture of the happening at the moment of the massacre. Later, you will proceed to the local markets, so as to get the real picture of Rwandan trades, good and the people, how they run their business and what they sale and later be transferred to the airport for departure.
