This 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Masai Mara Migration Adventure will give a total wild gorilla trekking experience in the thick impenetrable forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, which is one of the hot spot to trek the gorillas, known for harboring half of the word famous mountain gorillas. 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to the hotel

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and transfer you to the booked accommodation at Flame Tree Village  Hotel (Mid – range)Or Quiet Haven hotel (Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Dinner. This will mark the start of your 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Masai Mara Adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi: Travel time +4hrs

After your relaxed breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and later you will proceed with a drive to Bwindi through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation to catch up with the late lunch and later spend the rest of the afternoon relax and prepare for the next day’s trekking.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla trekking safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda you will have informative memorable experience in life. Day 4: Canoe ride and transfer to Kigali

After your relaxed morning breakfast, you will jump into your jeep, and head for a canoe ride adventure, to explore some of the great hot spot of Lake Bunyonyi, a beautiful lake hidden within the great valleys of Kisoro. The lake has a number of beautiful islands that has become home to numerous bird species. You will later drive back to Kigali with an en route lunch and time permitting have a brief visit to Kimironko local market for a market tour and some local shopping if you wish too, before drop off at your hotel for the night treat and dinnerat Flame Tree Village  Hotel (Mid – range)Or Quiet Haven hotel (Standard hotel).Meal Plan:Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner

Day 5: Visit Kigali genocide memorial & transfer to the Airport

The 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Masai Mara Migration Adventure will now take you to Masai Mara. Today after taking your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honours’ the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors’ of the incident. You will head for lunch before being transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight to Kenya for a wild game drive safari.

Your Rwanda Eco Company & Safaris represenative meets you at Jomo Kenyatta Internatioal Airport upon arrival on an evening flight. Transfer to your Nairobi city hotel for check in. Dinner on own account. Overnight stay at the hotel at Park Inn by Radisson(Mid – range) or Ibis Styles Nairobi(Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 6: Nairobi / Lake Nakuru National Park – Travel time 3.5 hrs

Breakfast at your hotel. Introduction to your safari driver, pre safari briefing and departure for Lake Nakuru National Park by 0830 hrs. You enjoy a brief stop over as you drive down the floor of the Rift Valley. This will be a scenic drive via farm lands and the Great Rift Valley Lakes. Arrival and check in at your lodge / tented camp in time for lunch. You will then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to four of the BIG 5, among several other mammal and bird species. The biggest attractions though are White Rhinos and the seasonal lesser and greater flamingos that can be found during some months Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp (Mid – range)Or Lake Nakuru Lodge (Standard hotel). Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve- Travel time 6.5 hrs

Breakfast from 0630 hrs. Depart Lake Nakuru by 0715 hrs and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Check in followed by lunch. You then enjoy your first game drive in Masai Mara from 1530 hrs to 1800 hrs. Day 8 and Day 9 – Masai Mara

You will spend two full days exploring and discovering the vast Mara reserve, enjoying game drives as you search for the resident Big Cats, antelopes and bird species. Be on the look out for Lions, Cheetahs, Buffalos, Zebras, Spotted Hyenas, Masai Girrafes, Elands, Gazelles, Hippos, Leopard, Black Rhinos and several other animals and birds that reside here. The Mara, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa is home to the Big Five as well as other predators, scavengers, plains game and prolific birdlife. This is also the place where the wildlife spectacle referred to as the annual wildebeest migration takes place every year between July and October when over 1.2 Million Wildebeest and Zebras cross over from Serengeti in search of greener pastures. Dinner and overnight stay at Base Camp Masai Mara (Mid – range) Or Enkorok Mara Camp (Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi- and Flight to Zanzibar Travel time + 5.5 hrs

Breakfast will be served. Check out of camp. Time allowing and depending on the location of your camp, you enjoy last an enroute game drive as you begin your drive back to Nairobi. On arrival, optional lunch may be served at the Carnivore Restaurant if time permits. You will then be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you board your afternoon flight back home.
