The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), located in Entebbe, Uganda, is a conservation education institution that plays a critical role in wildlife conservation, education, and research. Established in 1952 as an animal orphanage and rehabilitation center, it was rebranded in 1994 as a wildlife education center, focusing on the conservation and rehabilitation of Uganda’s wildlife and providing educational opportunities for visitors.
