How many days do I need in Rwanda?
Three days is enough for a gorilla trek with a night either side. Six to eight days lets you add Akagera for the Big Five or Nyungwe for chimpanzees and the canopy walk, without rushing. Ten days covers the country properly. Tell us how long you have and we will tell you what actually fits.
What does a Rwanda trip cost?
Our Rwanda itineraries run from around $1,330 per person for a three-day Akagera wildlife safari to roughly $5,600 for eight days across four parks. The single biggest variable is the gorilla permit, currently $1,500 per person, followed by your lodge tier. Your quote will itemize all of it.
When is the best time to visit Rwanda?
Rwanda is a year-round destination. The long dry seasons, June to September and December to February, give the easiest trekking and the best game viewing. The green season is quieter and better value, with short afternoon showers rather than washouts.
Is Rwanda safe, and do I need a visa?
Rwanda is consistently ranked among the safest countries in Africa and Kigali is a modern, well-run capital. Most nationalities, including US and UK passport holders, receive a visa on arrival. You will have a private driver-guide throughout and a direct line to our team.
Can I combine Rwanda with Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania?
Yes, and many travelers do. Rwanda’s neighbours are one to two flight hours away, so a gorilla trek pairs naturally with Uganda’s chimpanzees, the Maasai Mara or the Serengeti. Say so on the form and we will price the combination.
How does payment work?
