Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP Request a Quote

Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early morning landing in Uganda or you arrive in Uganda at least a night before your safari begins (accommodation may be arranged for at your request).

Your safari will start from either a hotel or Entebbe airport where you will be picked up by your Driver/Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.

You will stop for lunch en route then proceed into the beautiful Queen Elizabeth National Park: one of Uganda’s most outstanding treasures. Time permitting, you may proceed for an evening game drive along the Kasenyi sector after checking into your accommodation or else relax at your accommodation (awaiting next day’s activities).

Day 2: Chimp tracking in the Kyambura gorge and launch trip along the Kazinga Channel

Be up early, have breakfast and proceed for the Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge. The Kyambura Gorge is found on the eastern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park and it is home to habituated Chimpanzees plus other primates including Baboons, Monkeys and also bird species. The gorge is 1 km long and 100 meters deep. Kyambura landscape drained by Kyambura River is one of the most impressive topography while in Queen.

Today, you will spend the early part of the day tracking chimpanzees. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for lunch. After lunch you will go for a two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 3: Exit Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi with en route game drive in the Isasha sector

Have breakfast then set off for Bwindi National Park through the Isasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. If you are lucky, you will have the chance to catch the sight of the king and queens of the jungle up in the tree. Hoping you get lucky, the sight will be spectacular! Beside the tree-climbing lions, there are other games in this area such as buffalo, elephants, the Uganda kobs, antelopes etc.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda; harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants.

With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 4: Go out for gorilla trekking and the afternoon community tour.

After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing on the dos and don’ts during gorilla tracking and thereafter you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas.

If time and energy allow, you may take an optional community walk after the gorilla tracking or just have a relaxed afternoon. Enjoy your evening, dinner and overnight at the accommodation.

Day 5: Exit Bwindi for Kigali to catch your flight out.

Morning breakfast and transfer to Kigali. Drop off is at the Kigali Airport for your outbound flight to your next destination. We hope to see you when next, you visit and thanks for choosing us.
